Sweet Kaki's is an award-winning, Georgia-based pie company founded by Caroline Burris Bowen. Born from a profound medical scare, the brand grew into a beloved Southern staple featuring national award-winning, take-and-bake sweet and savory pies.  
The Heart-Attack Catalyst
In 2019, Caroline—who ironically hated cooking in the kitchen growing up—suffered a sudden heart attack while on a family lake trip. The experience inspired her to take a leap of faith, reassess her life, and pursue her dream of baking.
Family Recipes
Sweet Kaki's is named in honor of Bowen's family. The signature apple pie began as a cherished recipe from a handwritten cookbook passed down by her mother, Carol. Her savory Cheeseburger Pie is inspired by fond childhood memories of her grandmother (who she called Ma-Ma), who first served the dish to Bowen and her brothers on Friday nights. 
National Success
What started with Bowen selling fresh apple pies off her front porch quickly evolved. Her take-and-bake pies grew in popularity, ultimately winning multiple blue ribbons, an APC National Pie Championship, and a Top 50 nod in Taste of the South magazine.
