Intro to Mahjong - June Session

Mahjong is back—and it’s more popular than ever. This timeless game of strategy, luck, and connection has found a whole new generation of fans, and now’s your chance to learn what all the buzz is about.

Join us at Small Batch for Intro to Mahjong, taught by local mahjong enthusiast April King. This introductory class is designed for beginners who are looking to put their beginner class into practice (and for anyone who needs a refresher class if it's been awhile since you've played). You’ll review foundational rules, tiles, gameplay flow, and essential terminology—everything you need to feel confident sitting down at the table.

Whether you’re curious about the resurgence of this classic game or ready to join friends for regular play, this class will get you on board in a fun, approachable way.

Because there are many rules to remember and because practice makes you better, we strongly encourage attending both classes (June 16 and June 23) to get the most out of this experience.
