Carolina Gold Rice is the oldest medium-grain rice grown in the Americas. Dating back to 1685, this heirloom rice boasts a rich, nutty flavor and maximum versatility in the kitchen, prized by award-winning chefs and home cooks alike. Unlike so many of today’s medium-grain rice, it is not hybridized.
It's founders started Tidewater Grain Co. as means of making the economics work for their small, family-focused hunt club in Eastern North Carolina. The first crop was planted in 2018 and today, they touch every part of the process — from planting to harvest, from milling to packaging, to direct wholesale and consumer retail, to education and shipping.
